Psychological and Social Service

 

The Psychological and Social Service of Hematology Center has a great role in supporting patients, in overcoming their psychological problems and other difficulties.
Within the framework of the event dedicated to World Hemophilia Day 2021, the specialists of the psychosocial service organized practical work with the parents and the children which include psychological techniques, self-analytical methods, role-playing games, art therapy. Pedagogue Ani Hovhannisyan presented how education is organized during the treatment, and several educational developmental games were presented.


World Hemophilia Day

On April 17 at Radisson Blu Hotel Scientific-Educational Conference dedicated to World Hemophilia Day was held.

RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan was present at the event. Karine Kocharyan, Head of Europe Programs of the World Hemophilia Federation, made a welcoming speech.

The president of the European Consortium of Hemophilia, Declan Nun, joined the audience with a video message.

During the video bridge organized in the second part of the event, internationally renowned specialists from the hemostasis centers of Israel, Ukraine, and Georgia made speeches.

The specialists of the Hematology Center performed reports on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with coagulation disorders, as well as a number of other important topics.


The visit of the President of the World Federation of Hemophilia Cesar Garrido to the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center

The President of the World Federation of Hemophilia Cesar Garrido visited Hematology Center after Prof.R.H.Yeolyan, to get acquainted with the achievements and priorities of the field.

A conference was held as part of the visit, during which scientific reports and interesting clinical cases were presented. The conference was followed by a tour of the Hematology Center and a productive discussion.

 

It should be noted that Armenia is one of the 146 countries that is a member of the World Federation of Hemophilia. Since 2003, the World Federation of Hemophilia has contributed to the development of the field of hemophilia in RA by conducting regular and continuous training of medical staff in the best international clinics, providing patients with anti-hemophilia drugs, including the newest and most expensive drugs, thanks to which now 46 patients from RA are included in the emicizumab prophylaxis program. 📈The Federation also contributes to the introduction of modern management methods and regularly conducts educational workshops.
